On Jan. 12, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation received several honors, including the Pinnacle Award at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 97th Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla. The Pinnacle Award is the highest level award presented and is given to the most outstanding state in each membership group. To be eligible, the state must have achieved a membership quota for the year and had the most President’s Awards in its membership group. Iowa Farm Bureau received five President’s Awards. Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President, Craig Hill, said they are extremely proud to be presented the most prestigious award, and this year is extra rewarding as Iowa becomes the first state to receive the award for three consecutive years. He said this is a testament to the strength of their grassroots organization. Iowa also received an Award of Excellence in all six categories of: Education and Outreach; Leadership Development; Member Services; Membership Initiatives; Policy Development and Implementation; and Public Relations and Communications.
