Iowa City Driver Uninjured After Vehicle Goes Airborn

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Emergency Medical Services and Jefferson Fire units all responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Neola Ave. south of Jefferson at approximately 8:45 a.m. Monday morning. A 2008 Toyota Prius, driven by 24-year-old Mackenzie Sue Dreeszen of Iowa City, was southbound on Neola when she lost control of her vehicle due to a flat tire. Her car entered the west ditch, striking a field driveway. This caused the car to become airborne, landing on its wheels on the south side of the drive. Dreeszen was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident and was not injured. Her Toyota sustained major damage.
