Huckabee Said Americans Are Tired Of Duplicity In Leadership

Former Arkansas Governor, minister, author and commentator Mike Huckabee made a stop on his GOP Presidential campaign swing through Iowa in Carroll yesterday (Wednesday) and told the small crowd gathered at the 712 Central Church Youth Center that the American people are tired of duplicity, tired of being treated like chumps and downright angry about what is happening to their country.

Huckabee said President Obama told you last week how good the economy is, but how many people really believe that? That is one of the frustrations, but of all the frustrations, many feel we are losing our country to a set of moral values that doesn’t reflect who we traditionally are.

He said he doesn’t believe that we would have same sex marriage if not for President Barack Obama changing his view, and yet there is hypocrisy when politicians push God out of our schools and the public areas of our lives yet closes their speeches with “God Bless America.” Do we really have the right to that blessing? Huckabee asked.

Although Huckabee said he is not running to be America’s Pastor, he is running to bring morality and traditional American values back in to our nation’s leadership; joking that it would be by God’s blessing if he did win the nomination come Feb. 1. We will bring you more in future broadcasts about Huckabee’s fair tax plan, social security, immigration and the state of our military.
