Guthrie, Sac and Humboldt Counties Vote Against ICCC Bond Referendum

A special election on a nearly $30 million bond for Iowa Central Community College held Tuesday has failed. The Webster County Auditor’s office reports that over 58 percent of voters favored the bond, but a minimum of 60 percent was needed for it to pass. Nine counties were included in the bond issue, and three counties, Sac, Greene and Humboldt, voted against the measure that was to fund a new student services center at ICCC in Fort Dodge, safety and security upgrades and updates and additions to their career academies and classrooms.
