Senator Chuck Grassley is taking applications for summer internships in his Washington, D.C. offices as well as his offices in Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo. These are available to college-age Iowans in any area of study who are interested in learning more about the government. Interns will assist staff members with administrative, legislative and communications work, including working with staff on the Senate Judiciary Committee, where Grassley serves as Chairman. The internship allows for a wide range of learning experiences and exposure for students. During the summer, there are two, six-week sessions with the first running from May 23 to July 1 and the second from July 5 through Aug. 12. Application forms are available on Grassley’s website and in Grassley’s Iowa office. Due to security-related delays in postal mail delivery to the U.S. Senate office buildings, internship applications should be emailed or faxed to the contact points below. Applications are due by Friday, March 18.
