Senator Chuck Grassley has joined the Senate Career and Technical Education Caucus, which is focused on making sure students have the technical skills needed to succeed in highly-specialized workplaces. The caucus holds briefings and other events on developments in the field to help make sure Congress is hearing the latest information to inform policy debates that support career and technical education. Grassley said he had met with several Iowa students who requested his participation in the caucus. They emphasized the important point that job success and economic growth are tied to skills training and Grassley said we need to make sure Iowans are in a position to take advantage of opportunities for good jobs across the state.
