The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reporting that a Fort Dodge man is believed to have died of hypothermia and exposure after falling into Big Wall Lake in Wright County on Thanksgiving Day. The Wright County officials responded to a call of a man in distress at the game management area around 4:30 p.m. They arrived to find 55-year-old Kevin Simons face down in about two and a half feet of water only around 200 ards from shore. Simons was pulled from the water and treated at the scene, but died later at the hospital.
