EPA Seeking Applications For Communities Affected By Environmental Harms Or Risks

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking Environmental Justice Small Grant applications to support projects that address local environmental and public health issues within affected communities. The grants are available to Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska organizations through the EPA Region 7 office in Lenexa, Kan. The grant program is designed to help communities understand and address their exposure to multiple environmental harms and risks. The EPA is encouraging organizations that apply to have a direct connection to a vulnerable, affected community impacted by environmental harms and risks. Application packages must be postmarked by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017.
