Fans of the holiday season can celebrate Christmas a bit early during a Christmas celebration in Lake View next weekend. The event has a bake sale running from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Santa will be there to greet kids during those same times. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and attendees can enjoy a magical horse-drawn carriage ride through Lake View. Following those events, nine regular games of bingo can be played for only five dollars, and $100 in Black Hawk Bucks are on the line for the final blackout game. Complementary soup will be served following bingo. Christmas in Lake View take place at the American Legion Hall from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, and bingo follows beginning at 4 p.m.
