During visit to Carroll Senator Rand Paul asks voters to wisely caucus

On Monday the Fox Business Network announced that Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, along with fellow Republican Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, will not be on the main debate stage this Thursday night. Instead of being relegated to the “undercard” debate Senator Paul declared he’ll take his message directly to Iowa and New Hampshire voters, which he has done this past week, making a stop Carroll. While in town the Senator spoke out against the government’s ability to gather information about the country’s citizens.

US adversaries, he says, want us to be so fearful that we become a police state adding that the US can better operate by peace through strength strategy. Allowing the country to keep a strong military and national defense, while making use of diplomatic intervention.

In conjunction with overseas threats Paul says current front runner Donald Trump is the scariest of all based on his response on how he’ll handle the situation in the Middle East.

So as Iowan’s head to their caucus locations Paul asks participants to really think about who is best to take the Republican nomination.

Polls in Iowa and New Hampshire show Paul lagging in the low single digits, and the Senator has said he’ll skip the less-viewed “undercard” debate.
