A fire behind a garage on 1020 Sunset Drive in Carroll was reported at approximately 7:05 p.m. last night (Thursday). The Carroll Fire Department responded to find that railroad ties behind the structure had caught on fire. The possibility that a drop cord draped over the ties shorted and caused the blaze is being investigated. There was some damage to the exterior of the garage. Crews were on the scene for approximately 20 minutes.
