DMACC Named One Of Best Values In The Nation

Value Colleges.com recently announced its 10th annual list of the top 50 Best Value Community Colleges in the nation for 2016, and Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) has been named as one of the top 10. Over 1,700 colleges were reviewed on tuition cost, graduation/transfer rates and graduate salaries and accreditation. DMACC placed 10th in that evaluation. The report concludes by saying, “The numbers give us a complete impression of how much each community college is worth, from cost to return on investment.” Rob Denson, DMACC President says they are thrilled with the announcement. “We are very competitive with any of our peers across the country and this is another reminder we have a quality institution dedicated to the students and the communities we serve,” Denson said. “This year, DMACC will have the lowest tuition and fees of any college or university in Iowa.” The report highlighted the number of degrees offered and the number of transfer agreements offered at DMACC. The only other Iowa community college to be included in the top 50 was Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, which ranked 45th. A complete listing of the top 10 can be found below.
