Yesterday (Tuesday), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded nearly $1 million to health centers in Iowa to improve health care. The grants will be used to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care to Iowans. Storm Lake’s United Community Health Center will receive a little over $45,000 in grants, while the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, Inc. will get over $47,500.
