Cooler Temperatures Are Here But It Is Still A Knight At The Beach For Kuemper

The temperatures have cooled, but this week things will be heating up at Kuemper Catholic Schools according to President John Steffes as the staff, students and community celebrate homecoming.

In addition to the traditional themed, dress-up days, the entire school will be able to take part in activities, including a Walk-a-Thon tomorrow (Tuesday), a special Anointing Mass and Reception at St. Lawrence on Thursday, Volleyball games on Tuesday and Thursday, a special Mass on Friday as well as an alumni lunch over the noon hour. The pep rally and coronation will begin Friday at 1 p.m. in the Kuemper High School gym. Members of the homecoming court include: Sonnie Cornelius; Cailey Wendl; Marta Pugh; Abby Lohrmann; Jordan Wittrock; Max Heithoff; Von Kraus; Matt Dentlinger; Tucker Vonnahme; and Carter Bruch. The King and Queen will be featured in the parade that will start at 2 p.m., and Steffes said there will be some other noteworthy participants that attendees will see along that route.

Tailgating for the 7 p.m. game against the South Central Calhoun Titans will begin at 6 p.m. at the football field. Following the game there will be an all-alumni social at the country club.
