The city of Glidden recently approved the purchase of a brand new aerial lift machine to be utilized throughout the city. The apparatus, says City Clerk Suzy Danner, will be utilized for different tasks.
Those same electric lines will be maintained using the aerial lift and city crews will also use it to change out street lights and hang holiday decorations. The aerial lift was purchased for $106,999 from ABM Equipment. City officials opted to make the purchase without trading-in the city’s old machine. They’ll look to sell the old aerial lift, but are still considering what would be the best process.
