The City of Carroll is inviting the public to review plans for two upcoming construction projects at a forum tonight (Tuesday), beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the second-floor council chambers at City Hall. The first project will preview the completion of the work begun on Third Street, from Highway 71 to Grant Road. Crews will be working to resurface the road and conduct some curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement. The second project consists of two trail improvements, the first on Third Street that will travel from Whitney to Carroll Street then turn north up Carroll to Fifth Street. The second segment of trail improvements is from Veteran’s Park on Grant Road to Eighteenth Street and Edgewood Drive. These proposed projects will call for the creation of 10-foot-wide concrete trails. Director of Public Works, Randy Krauel, and Parks and Rec Director, Jack Wardell, will be on hand to answer any questions.
