During a special meeting of the Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Directors on Thursday afternoon, the board approved a statement regarding the use of the potential new stadium on North Grant Road. Board President, Jen Munson, says they cannot make a policy change until the proposed stadium is complete.
The Carroll Stadium Committee requested in November the board share their ideas with the community to ensure the voting public understands it isn’t just a football field. The statement shows the board’s intent on policy if the stadium is approved.
The board approved the statement unanimously. The estimated $6.2 million stadium will be potentially funded partially through a voter-approved Physical Plant and Equipment Levy at 67 cents per $1,000 of taxable property value. The date for that vote is planned for February 7, 2017.
