During a special meeting of the Carroll Community School District last night (Thursday), the board of directors went into closed session under Code of Iowa 21.5.1I for a personnel evaluation. After coming out of the closed session, the board accepted the resignation of Tyler Tassell, the high school girls’ basketball and volleyball coach, drivers’ education, technology and physical education instructor. Tassell, who has been with the Carroll Community School District for a little over four years, was placed on administrative leave in late December after law enforcement officials became involved in a domestic issue in mid-December.
