Cattle producers are invited to attend the Iowa Cattle Industry Leadership Summit and Political Action Committee (PAC) fundraiser being held on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10 at the Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center in Ames. The weekend events start Friday at 5:30 p.m. with a steak dinner and update on federal agriculture policy form Jacqui Fatka, an Iowa native and policy editor for Feedstuffs and Farm Futures. The summit begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The free event follows the same structure as previous cattle industry conventions with Alan Feirer of Group Dynamic as the keynote speaker. His presentation will focus on communication and collaboration strategies. The day will also include the annual meeting of the Iowa Beef Industry Council, the beef checkoff.
