Cost is a major concern when it comes to getting a new stadium to replace the one on Grant Road, and the Carroll Stadium Committee is getting a chance to review the estimated costs of the specific components in the current stadium plan. At the meeting tonight, committee members have a chance to see the cost breakdown of more specific aspects of the plans from a representative of FRK Architects in West Des Moines. While not yet a final plan, the current stadium design has seating for 2,000 fans on the west side of the field, and 750 on the east side. The committee hopes that seeing prices will help them decide on a final design and keep the costs in check. The Carroll Stadium Committee meeting is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in the boardroom at Adams Elementary.
