Cost is a major concern when it comes to getting a new stadium to replace the one on Grant Rd., and the Carroll Stadium Committee is getting a chance to review the estimated costs of the current stadium plan. At the meeting tomorrow (Wednesday), Oct. 12, committee members have a chance to see the cost breakdown of more specific aspects of the plans. A representative from FRK Architects in West Des Moines has prepared cost estimates for individual aspects of the stadium. The current plan has seating for 2,000 fans on the west side of the field, and 750 on the east side. Those numbers are not final, and the committee hopes that seeing prices will help them decide on a final design and cut costs if necessary. The Carroll Stadium Committee meeting is open to the public and will be held in the boardroom at Adams Elementary School at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow.
