Eighteen-year-old Trevor Samuel Caltrider of Carroll was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Hardin County. The Iowa State Patrol reports that Caltrider was westbound on Highway 20 near Iowa Falls at approximately 2:30 p.m. when he lost control, crossed the median and struck the rear wheels of an eastbound 2014 UPS International semi tractor-trailer. The impact caused the rear dual tires to be torn free from the semi-trailer. Caltrider was transported to Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. The driver of the semi was uninjured.
