Carroll Chamber offers Ag Scholarships to area students; due by March 23

Much like a cover crop the field of agricultural studies covers a wide spectrum for enriching educational possibilities. From agribusiness to life sciences, a degree in Agriculture means more than just farming nowadays, and students planning to continue their post high school education in an ag-related field are encouraged to apply for an Ag Scholarship offered by The Carroll Chamber of Commerce. Applications are due by Wednesday, March 23 and can be picked up at school guidance counselor’s offices or the Carroll Chamber office. Eligible individuals are those who are planning to attend, or are already attending, any post-secondary school majoring in a field related to agriculture. In 2015 two $250 scholarships were awarded through proceeds funded by a special livestock auction in 1987. For more information call the Chamber Office at 712-792-4383.
