County fair season is here, and the 2016 Calhoun County Expo is not an event to miss. The expo will be running from Wednesday July 6, to Sunday July 10 in Rockwell City, IA. Calhoun County Expo Treasurer Hillaree Meyer said they had put special emphasis on getting youth excited about the event.
Alongside the Family Learning Center, the Expo has dedicated Sunday (July 10) as Family Fun Day.
The fun of the Calhoun County Expo is not just limited to the kids. On Thursday (July 7) there will be the 2nd Annual Human Foosball tournament, and Saturday (July 9) there will also be the bag toss and jousting tournaments. The popular Eric Findley Memorial Figure Eight Race will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. where the Farm Bureau will be collecting goods for the Food Bank of Iowa.
