Audubon Wheelers to hold basketball Pink-Out Night this Friday

The Audubon Wheelers have an eventful night planned during their 9th Annual Pink-Out Night this Friday, January 29. To start off the night the Lion’s Club will be serving up pork loin sandwiches and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 pm which was organized by the Audubon Dance Team, along with Coach Lynn Spies. They’ll also hold a special live-auction taking place at the boy’s halftime as two donated pink basketballs, signed by the boys and girls basketball teams, will be auction off. Then during the girl’s halftime Spies says over 200 duckies will be flying through the air during the Chuck-A-Duck event.

It is a phenomenal sight, she says, which always sells out, however, it’s another highlight of the night which impacts attendees most as those touched by cancer are honored.

Attendees can show their support by wearing pink or by purchasing a Pink-Out night t-shirt. Spies says this year’s design is a reflection of all cancers types.

Money raised during Audubon’s Pink-Out night will be donated to the Audubon Chapter of the American Cancer Society. The Wheelers face off against the Treynor Cardinals with a game time start at 6:00 pm. A snow date for the Pink-Out Night is scheduled for February 2.
