An armed robbery which took place in Audubon on Sunday night have local police searching for a suspect. KJAN Radio is reporting that a male suspect entered the Subway restaurant located on Highway 71 at around 9:30 pm. The suspect was wearing all black clothing and reportedly displayed what was thought to be a semi-automatic handgun. He then verbally demanded money from the clerk and the suspect left the store on foot through the back door in an unknown direction. Authorities aren’t sure if a getaway vehicle was used in the incident. The Audubon Police Department is reviewing video recorded by the store’s surveillance equipment and also interviewing employees who were working that night.
