Audubon High School Encourages Computer Literacy Through Giveaway

Students at Audubon High School have a chance to win prizes during their celebration of Computer Science Education Week. The five day event begins Monday, Dec. 5, and continues through Friday, Dec. 9. Prizes include a five dollar Casey’s gift card or 10 a la carte items during school lunch. On Thursday, students will spend at least a half-hour learning more about computers and coding. Funding for the prizes comes from donations from community members and businesses and fundraising efforts from the IT Club. All students need to do to be eligible is check their school email accounts and take a short, five-question quiz about computers and their history. Those quizzes must be submitted by 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5. The prize giveaway is done in conjunction with Code.org’s Hour of Code. People of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Hour of Code to increase computer literacy worldwide from Dec. 5 to Dec. 11
