Audubon, Crawford And Guthrie Report Filings For June Primary

Area counties continue to report the filings for candidates who will be on the ballot in the upcoming June 7, Primary. In Audubon County, incumbents, Republican Todd Nelson and Democrat LaVerne “Bub” Deist will be seeking re-election to the board of supervisors. Two Republicans, Doug Sorensen and Rick Thompson will also be running for the two open seats in this year’s election. Current Audubon County Auditor, Republican Lisa Frederiksen is running unopposed at this time and Republican Sheriff, Todd Johnson will be running for office against another Republican, Brian Juelsgaard. In Guthrie County there is one Democrat, incumbent Jerome Caraher, running for the District 1 seat against three Republican candidates: Jim Carroll, Jerri Christman and Jack Lloyd. The 5th District seat sees no opposition for Republican incumbent Mike Dickson. The Guthrie County Auditor, Jerri Christman is listed as running for a seat on the board of supervisors, leaving Republican candidate, Marci McClellan the only candidate on the ballot for the Primary. And, current Guthrie County Sheriff, Democrat Marty Arganbright is also running unopposed in the June Primary. In Crawford County, Republican incumbents Cecil Blum and Randall Kuhlmann are joined by fellow Republicans Jerry Buller, Bob Boettger, Eugene Mohr and Mike Fink as well as Democratic candidates Dave Muhlbauer and Patricia Elisha Ritchie on the Board of Supervisors ballot. Crawford County Auditor, Democrat Terri Martens, and Sheriff, Democrat James Steinkuehler, are currently unopposed.
