The Denison Police Department has reported an attempted armed robbery this morning (Thursday) at Bookem Dano’s, a gentleman’s club at 33 South Main Street in Denison. According to Chief of Police, John Emswiler, at approximately 12:48 a.m. on April 28, a white female and a black male were loitering in the business as the owner attempted to close. While trying to escort the two out, the male shoved her to the floor and held her at gunpoint. A physical confrontation ensued, resulting in the male fleeing in an unknown direction. The female is described as five foot four to five foot five inches tall and approximately 250 pounds. She was wearing a pink shirt, black pants and glasses. The male is reported to be five foot five to five foot nine inches tall weighing approximately 165 pounds and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey sweatpants at the time of the attempted robbery.
