Arts And Cultural Grant Applications Due Nov. 1

The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs has announced a Nov. 1 deadline for the receipt of arts and cultural grants. Any Iowan who is seeking support for art projects and greater stability for their cultural organization is encouraged to apply for two grant programs offered through the Iowa Arts Council. The Art Project Grant program offers $1,000 to $10,000 to individual artists, non-profit organizations, schools, tribal councils and government agencies. Any of these entities who have projects that will have a positive impact on the vitality of the arts in the state, demonstrate public value and support IAC’s 2016/17 priorities of job creation, arts learning and rural arts access will be considered. The Cultural Trust Stability Grants help Iowa cultural organizations make measurable progress toward goals of fiscal stability and best practices in organizational strategic planning and management. Grants are available for up to $2,500 and applicants must provide $1 of matching funds for every dollar requested. More information on the grants can be found by using the contact points included with this story on our website.
