The Employers’ Council of Iowa and IowaWorks have partnered to bring a workshop, “Apprenticeships: Closing the Skills Gap,” to Carroll on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The workshop is designed to help area businesses and organizations learn how to utilize apprenticeships to build and retain a skilled workforce. From 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Santa Maria Winery, presenters will discuss how apprenticeships can be utilized for a variety of different positions and how they can be a cost-effective way to enhance a workforce. Cost to attend the workshop is $10 per person, and space is limited, so reservations are requested.
