The work is mostly completed and animals are now at home in the new Animal Rescue of Carroll building on East 10th Street in Carroll. To celebrate, Animal Rescue will be hosting several events. The first, on Sunday, Oct. 9, is an invitation-only open house from 2 to 4 p.m. to give all donors an opportunity to see the new facility. A Chamber of Commerce coffee will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, and a public open house on Saturday Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday’s open house will begin with a dog walk from Northeast Park to the new Shelter at 1721 East 10th Street. Board members are eager to show off the new shelter and to kick-off this exciting new time for their volunteer organization.
