President Obama is taking his campaign to confirm Judge Merrick Garland to the United States Supreme Court to Chicago today, while at the same time, a national women’s advocacy organization, UltraViolet Action, will have representatives from Utah, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Ohio deliver giant report cards to Senate offices. The group will be calling their Senators delinquent for failing to consider and vote on the President’s nominee for the Supreme Court. In Des Moines, Iowa voters will accompany local UltraViolet Action members to deliver the report card to Senator Chuck Grassley’s district office at 1 p.m. Karin Roland Chief Campaigns Officer for UltraViolet Action says that Senate Republicans need to stop acting like children, do their jobs and give President Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court a fair hearing and up-or-down vote now. The delivery of report cards coincides with the group’s new television ad campaign.
