A Chance To Look Into Iowa’s Past Coming To The Carroll Public Library

A chance to look into Iowa’s past is coming to the Carroll Public Library on Thursday, Sept. 22. The TRACES Center for History and Culture is bringing their program titled, At Home in the Heartland: Forgotten Stories of How Iowans Got to be ‘Us’. Library Director, Brandie Ledford, says this exhibit is very different than ones in a regular museum.

Before Election Day, the bus-eum will travel to all 99 Iowa counties on three total tours. Those operating the tour do an incredible job of preparing exhibits, and Ledford says their presentation takes serious effort.

The TRACES tour was originally focused on WWII history, but they have now shifted their focus to expand their program to include all aspects of Iowa’s history. Admission to the display is free and will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the day of the event. Snacks will be available at the exhibit, and details about the tour and TRACES can be found by following the link included below.
