STEM Advisory Council Meets Tomorrow

The Iowa Governor’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Advisory Council will be convening for its 14th all-member meeting Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the Science Center of Iowa in Des Moines. The meeting is open to the public. Updates from the computer and agricultural science working groups and the Iowa STEM evaluation consortium will kick off the meeting. The rest of the day will feature a facilitated discussion around identifying the potential threats and opportunities for the council over the next three years and development of specific actions or tactics to address them. The meeting will also showcase local students who are members of Pint Size Science. Featured speakers include Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Dr. Chris Nelson, President and CEO of Kemin Industries.
