Seventeen Carroll County 4H’ers received awards for their exhibits at the 2015 Iowa State Fair. With nearly 4,000 entries, it is an honor to have an item selected to exhibit, said Carroll County Youth Coordinator, Andrea Irlbeck. They have all demonstrated outstanding learning in leadership, citizenship, communication and other topics related to the individual goals set by the members, she added. The 4H’ers set goals for themselves and receive placings based on how well they have met those goals and on the evaluation of standards established for that particular item.
