The second annual Prom Closet will be opening to girls for free shopping days on Saturday, Jan. 2 and again on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Glidden. Organizers are busy accepting donations of clean, gently used gowns, dresses, shoes and accessories that will be provided at no charge to girls shopping on those days. They will continue to accept donations through the rest of this month, but they are especially in need of dresses in sizes 14 and larger. If you have items you would like to donate, you can drop them off at the church before 5:30 p.m. Mass on Saturdays, deliver them to the Iowa Savings Bank Glidden branch or contact Donna Kinnick at 712-790-9539 to arrange for a pick up or drop off. You may also contact Kinnick to schedule an appointment for one of the January shopping days.
