Later this month Opportunity Living in Lake City will host an All-Terrain Vehicle and Motorcycle Poker Run to raise funds to support various projects at Opportunity Living’s Activity Center and also for a kitchen remodeling project which involves making the kitchen accessible to all clients and adds space to learn baking and cooking skills.
Poker Run participants will head out on Sunday, October 18, from Opportunity Acres; making stops in Rockwell City and Yetter before returning to Lake City. A route for motorcycles will keep to the main roads while ATV’s will follow a mostly gravel and secondary roads route. Registration for the event will begin at noon on October 18 with riders heading out at 1:00 pm. The cost is $25.00 for a driver and $10.00 for passengers or extra poker hands. A 50/50 drawing and silent auction will also take place with prizes being awarded for the best hands.
