Jindal Says It’s Time To Reclaim The American Dream

There was a sea of green Rural Power shirts filling the service bay at Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative in Glidden yesterday (Tuesday) at noon as GOP presidential hopeful, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, spoke about why he believes this presidential election is the most important election in the country and the most important election of our lifetime.

Jindal warns that we are moving ever further away from that American Dream and closer to the European nightmare every day.

One of the first items Jindal addressed was immigration.  He spoke from the accounts of his parents who nearly 45 years ago left India to travel half way around the world for an idea. He said our current immigration policy is “dumb,” and we need to secure our borders. He added that unlike the left’s stance, being allowed to come to our country is not an entitlement and we need to insist on integration and assimilation of not only those immigrants who are entering our country now, but those who are already here.

Jindal says he is tired of hearing about hyphenated Americans; we are all Americans. If people want to come here they should come legally, learn English, adopt our values and roll up their sleeves and get to work, that, he says, is what a smart immigration policy looks like.
