Honor A Veteran With Your Vote Program Expanded

Secretary of State, Paul Pate, announced an expansion to the Honor a Veteran with Your Vote program, which pays tribute to the brave men and women who served our country in the military and risked their lives to protect our right to vote. Iowans can make a tribute to veterans through the program either online or through postcards that are available through veteran-affiliated organizations throughout the state. People wishing to make a tribute online can go to www.HonorAVet.net and follow the Honor a Veteran link on the page. They will be asked to fill out a form and include a message to the veteran they are honoring. The veteran and the person paying tribute will receive a lapel pin. Pate said he wants all Iowans to exercise their right to vote and doesn’t believe we can say thank you enough to everyone who wore the uniform and defended our freedoms.
