Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley was presented with the Guardians of Seniors’ Rights award from the 60 Plus Association this past Friday, Nov. 20 for his work in creating financial stability for seniors through tax reform. Grassley said he is honored to receive this award for his years of work in increasing and indexing to inflation the amounts that can be contributed to IRAs and employer defined contribution plans such as 401(k)s, as well as allowing individuals over the age of 50 to make “catch-up” contributions to increase their retirement income security. He added that pro-savings and pro-growth tax policies continue to be a high priority for him as a lawmaker.
