Only a few weeks ago, it was reported that GOP Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz’s campaign had experts developing psychological profiles of voters. At a recent appearance in Carroll, another GOP candidate, Dr. Ben Carson, was asked if he, like the Democrats who have huge databases and are trying to figure out what the voters want, was utilizing these data mining techniques in his campaign. Carson says he doesn’t do that because of his faith in the good judgment of the American people.
He told the crowd gathered he believes in what the founding fathers, particularly Franklin and Jefferson, had said about the system of freedom. That it is dependent on a well-education and well-informed populace, and if it is ever anything other than that, the country will change.
He said he is hoping and praying the people of America Will wake up and realize what is happening and not allow it to escalate. If we do address it now, Carson added, we will be just fine.
