Boulders Inn & Suites Committing To 32-Room Hotel In Manning

Community leaders from Manning recently partnered with the Iowa State Extension Service to perform a hotel market survey that confirmed the need for overnight accommodations in the community. That information, said committee member Ron Reischl, resulted in a search for companies who may be interested in building a 32-room hotel in Manning.

A Limited Liability Corporation is being formed to act as the owner of the Boulders Inn Manning, and will be comprised of investors from the area. A board will be elected to make major decisions for the project, including land purchases, final design approval and dividend distribution. Reischl said there is an aggressive schedule to get organized and work toward a groundbreaking goal of April 1.

The preferred site of the new hotel will be on the land to the west of the Hausbarn Konferenz Centre. Reischl said a positive dialogue with that landowner is already underway. He added there is a lot of excitement about this long sought after project coming to fruition.

An investor meeting will be held at the Timmerman Shelter House on Highway 141 across from Casey’s at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30. Tim Stuart of Boulders Inn & Suites will be present to discuss this opportunity with potential investors. If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like more information, contact Manning City Administrator Dawn Rohe at 655-2176 or by email at dawnrohe@mmctsu.com
