The Diocese of Sioux City has announced they are now accepting applications for The Bishop’s Scholarship. Bishop R. Walker Nickless, along with other committee members, annually select three graduating seniors from any high school within the Diocese of Sioux City to attend Briar Cliff University. Students from public or private schools are eligible to receive the scholarship valued at $29,500 over four years. Requirements for consideration include: an ACT score of 24 or higher—equivalent to an SAT score of 1100 or higher; a GPA of 3.0 or higher; and applicants must be an active member in a Catholic Parish within the Sioux City Diocese and have the support of their pastor. Scholarship winners stay eligible for the four-year award as long as they maintain a 3.0 grade point average while attending Briar Cliff.
