Any city or county within the Region XII Council of Governments service area of Audubon, Carroll, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie or Sac Counties is eligible to apply for funds from the 2017 through 2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Region XII has approximately $4 million in Surface Transportation Project monies available for eligible projects, which includes: roadway construction and reconstruction; operational improvements; safety programs; and traffic management and control. These funds can also be used for transit or other ride-share projects. Requirements to apply include 20 percent funding of the total project cost in cash by the sponsoring governmental agency.
