Stroke Detection Plus will be screening at the Carroll County Farm Bureau, on Tuesday February 18, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A complete wellness profile (Ultrasound Screening for Stroke, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Peripheral Arterial Disease, and Osteoporosis) is only $100 for Farm Bureau members. That is a $35 savings over the $135 the general public will pay. If you choose to add an EKG to detect Atrial Fibrillation it is an additional $35.
People over the age of 40 are encouraged to get tested especially with one or more of the following risk factors: high blood pressure, diabetes, more than 20 pounds overweight, smoke, have high cholesterol, inactive lifestyle, or have a family medical history of heart disease or stroke.
A stroke screening will help to identify these blood flow blockages.
