The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday next week on account of Memorial Day. The supervisors convene at 9 a.m. on May 26 in the lower-level meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. The first item of note on Tuesday’s agenda is a Zoom call with the Greene County Board of Supervisors for consideration of a joint drain assessment for a drainage district on the county line. A Carroll County resident is then scheduled to address the board regarding potential concerns with Timber Avenue. Beyond routine business, such as plat approvals and manure management annual updates, the board will also consider having the county join the Iowa Retirement Investors’ Club, which is a state-managed program to aid public employees in their preparations for post-retirement income, and a closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(i), “To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.” No action is scheduled for when the board returns to open session. Again, the Tuesday, May 26, Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting begins at 9 a.m. and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
