Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics has been named an Iowa Top Workplace, the 14th time the Lake City-based employer has received the recognition.
The award is based on confidential employee responses to a survey administered by Energage, an employee engagement and workplace culture consultation firm.
The survey asks workers about aspects of workplace culture, such as whether they feel respected, have opportunities to grow, and feel empowered in their jobs. Stewart Memorial ranked 20th among Iowa employers with 150 to 499 employees on the state’s 2026 list.
Its hospital is based in Lake City, with clinics serving Gowrie, Lake View, and Rockwell City.
Hospital CEO Linn Block says, “This award is a meaningful recognition of the workplace our team has built together, and we are proud to celebrate this accomplishment with them.”
The hospital marked the occasion with a make-your-own soda bar and new Stewart Memorial shirts for staff.
