As they prepare for their $10.8 million November bond referendum, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office continues to hold open house presentations of its jail. The next meeting is tomorrow (Saturday) at 7 p.m. Visitors can expect a full tour of the facility with explanations of its condition, followed by a presentation on the building, the bond, and the planned facility to be constructed contingent upon the bond’s passing, which Sac County Sheriff Katie Stange says will resemble the newly constructed jail in Pocahontas County. Those in attendance will have an opportunity after the presentation to ask questions on the proposed project. Again, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office jail open house begins at 7 p.m. on Sat. Sept. 26. The entrance will be through the law enforcement center glass door on the north side of the courthouse at 100 NW State St.
