The Manning Public Library is teaming up with Western Iowa Transit to provide free transportation to and from the library for residents. The weekly rides begin Tuesday, Sept. 15, and will continue through Nov. 17. The transportation is free, wheelchair-accessible, and limited to in-city residents. Pickups are set for 1:30 p.m. on those Tuesdays, with riders returning home at approximately 4 p.m. Events through the library scheduled for those dates include two talks by Iowa authors, a presentation on birding from Carroll County Conservation, and more. Registration is required each week and can be completed by calling the library directly at 712-655-2260.
